Editorial Policy & Content Standards
Last updated: July 2026
At Anxiety and Depression Help, we publish information about mental health, anxiety, and depression that people rely on during difficult moments. Because this is health-related content, we hold it to a high standard. This Editorial Policy explains exactly how our content is created, who writes and reviews it, how we keep it accurate, and how we remain transparent about advertising.
Our Editorial Mission
Our goal is simple: to make accurate, compassionate, and genuinely useful mental health information freely available to anyone who needs it. Every article is written to be easy to understand, respectful of the reader's experience, and grounded in established psychological knowledge and reputable public-health guidance.
Who Writes Our Content
Our articles are written and reviewed by Rabi Gorkhali, a certified Psychosocial Counsellor trained through Dubyabhumi College, Nepal (affiliated with the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training, CTEVT). He has hands-on experience in psychosocial support and community mental health.
Every published article displays the author, so readers always know who is behind the information they are reading. You can learn more on our About Us page.
How We Create an Article
- Topic selection: We choose topics based on genuine questions people ask about anxiety, depression, and emotional wellbeing.
- Research: Content is informed by established mental-health frameworks (such as cognitive behavioural principles), and reputable organisations including the World Health Organization (WHO), the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), and Mind.
- Writing: We write in plain, supportive language and avoid jargon, sensationalism, and fear-based messaging.
- Review: Each article is reviewed for accuracy, tone, and safety before publishing.
- Updating: We periodically revisit older articles to keep guidance current.
Accuracy & Fact-Checking
We take reasonable care to ensure our content reflects mainstream, evidence-informed understanding of mental health. Where a topic is nuanced or evolving, we say so. We do not make exaggerated claims, promote "miracle cures," or guarantee outcomes.
